Meryll Rogge SS25
The Wedding Collection
This Spring Summer 2025 collection looks at rituals and the pleasures of celebrations. Combining longtime favorite and the excitement of newness, it indulges in the creation of festive and ceremonial outfifits for the big day, as much as for the everyday.
Upcycled denim pieces are worked into color schemes to form sophisticated volumes. Outerwear pieces and overcoats gain a sense of evening drama through their generous proportions. A hint of lace and rufles, of cape-like draped silhouettes convene more personal memories. Drawing from her own photo-album, Meryll Rogge reenacts the festive qualities of her recent wedding party in Northern Spain. In lieu of bridal flowers, the sempre vivas bouquets become a print in satin silks, a variation of floral intarsias or an embellished neckline. Rings turn into a bold decorative concept more than a traditional token: large metal eyelets spread across nylon organzas and make for a bold and carefree embellishment. Something old, like a favorite crinkled satin becomes something new, cut into a set of classic men’s shirt and trousers. Recurring shapes distill a few surprises: gingham and leopard become trompe l’œil in knits, a plaid worker’s jacket is trimmed with a denim patch collar. Bows multiply forming a most celebrative all-over texture – the wedding festivities continue.
In collaboration with Solal Mariotte, Synne Elve Enoksen and Leyla de Muynck, Meryll Rogge’s Spring Summer 2025 collection takes shape. The three contemporary dancers have composed and performed a series of postures embodying the collection’s singular atmosphere and dynamics translated into poetic still lives.
