A mexican lovestory
The Sea of Cortez, off the shores of Baja California Sur in Mexico, is one of the most biodiverse regions on the planet.
We at BOTAN wanted to celebrate this richness and magnificence by studying the landscape and all its colours. From the hot, dry, desert mountain ranges to the lush cacti gardens and idyllic deserted white sand beaches. These impressions translate into easy silhouettes in vibrant colours and radiant embroidery to mimic the warmth and beauty of baja.
Mexico will always have a special place in our hearts.
About BOTAN
Botan was launched in 2022 by Creative director Joeri van Campenhout and Co-Founder Laurence de Sadeleer. Joeri graduated from the Antwerp Fashion Academy and gained a lot of experience as a designer at Dries van Noten, where he was senior embroidery designer for the past five years. As responsible for both the men's and women's collection, Joeri regularly traveled to India and Italy to work with local craftsmen. Laurence completes the duo with her expertise in Sales & Marketing where she was involved in international projects. Together, the duo is making their childhood dream come true with the launch of their own brand, BOTAN.
